The Story of Their Lives, With a Twist.

What's your dream?

Everyone dreams, no matter what their age. But as our life progresses, sometimes we let go of even our fondest dreams. At Marquis, we say, don’t even think about letting go. We believe as long as there are still things you want to do, there’s always time to write a new chapter.

What follows are some stories we were privileged enough to help bring to the pages of some extraordinary people’s lives. From flying an airplane, to a hole-in-one, to hot air ballooning, these dreams were finally realized.

Art and Marian Art and Marian's Story
Introductory text

After the honeymoon, they added another kid to the clan. Now, Art and Marian share ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren.

For Art and Marian's 60th wedding anniversary, the staff at Marquis Care at Oregon City arranged a party to celebrate. Art and Marian's family members flew in from around the country to be part of the festivities and help commemorate the couple's anniversary.

Staff and family members laughed as they listened to Art regale them with his log-truck driving tales. Marian tells them of the joys and struggles of being a working mother. And they both told the stories of the "many adventures" they'd had, having figured out ways to indulge their love of travel while still caring for their family.  Now Art and Marian are happy with smaller adventures - Art enjoys keeping the squirrels fat and happy, and, after raising five kids, presiding over bingo games is more than enough excitement and responsibility for Marian.
